Primary Purpose :
Provide operational technology direction and technical support for assigned Generation Facility. Provide guidance and support to ensure cyber security for Electric Generation Network and Control Systems.Maintain, install, upgrade and configure Operational Technology (OT) systems, software and hardware to ensure reliable and secure operation of the Electric Generation control systems and networks.Establish and maintain security for generation systems. Manage the assigned NERC CIP programs for Electric Generation. Work closely with Generation Management, Staff, Engineers, and Technicians to ensure safe and reliable operation and maintenance Generation assets.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Perform systems administration and problem resolution for Windows desktops servers, routers, switches, firewalls and appliances inside the Generation control systems networks.Analyze and interpret technical problems, diagnose and perform problem resolution on OT systems, and develop practical operational solutions.
- Assess, perform change control, testing and documentation for planned or unplanned outages or changes which impact OT systems and / or the operation of the Generation control systems and network infrastructure.
- Establishes and maintains security for generation OT systems. Interfaces with Generation staff to use software and hardware tools. Identify, document, remediate and / or enhance OT system security, potential risks, vulnerabilities, system accounts, authentication systems, and other cyber security components. Supports IT / OT audits to include document requests and resolution of findings.
- Provides strategic direction and ideas for converging IT Technologies and Generation control network systems and equipment. Identifies, implements new technologies and automates systems to enhance the security, operations and function of Generation control systems and infrastructure.
- Perform administrator functions for plant IT systems, as assigned.Act as a liaison with Corporate IT to assist plant personnel with computer and IT system issues.
- Assists in the development and organization of procedures, policies, standards and other documents required to meet NERC CIP Critical Infrastructure Protection requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
