Summary
As a Wildlife Service Technician at Senate Termite & Pest Control, you will be instrumental in the humane treatment and removal of nuisance wildlife. This role is vital to our mission of providing full range of services while ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our customers.
Wildlife Service Technician Responsibilities
- Service residential and commercial properties with active wildlife or pest infestations.
- Identify species, assess the extent of the problem, and determine appropriate removal and/or exclusion options.
- Safely and humanely trap, relocate, or remove nuisance wildlife following local and federal regulations.
- Implement preventative measures such as sealing entry points and installing deterrents.
- Communicate with clients about the removal process, potential risks, and long-term prevention strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, including reports on wildlife activity and control measures.
- Handle and apply pesticides or repellents in accordance with regulations when necessary.
Qualifications
- Strongly Preferred Qualifications: Background in hunting, fishing, or wildlife management, with hands-on experience in tracking, trapping, or handling wildlife.
- Strong knowledge of local wildlife species and their behaviors.
- Basic understanding of pest control practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools for exclusion work
- Comfortable with ladders and heights
