What are the responsibilities and job description for the People Operations Generalist position at Sendbird?
Sendbird is seeking a People Operations Generalist for our dynamic and fast-growing company. In this position, you will report to the CFO and work closely with a global People & Culture team to provide essential services to the Sendbird community, including but not limited to onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, and immigration support.
What you will do
- Champion our core values, participate in the development and execution of the People Operations roadmap, and create "moments that matter" throughout the employee journey
- Support People Operations functions in the US and EMEA, such as Pre-Hire, Onboarding, and Offboarding.
- Provide assistance in payroll processing to ensure all employees' accurate and timely payments.
- Provide People Operations support across the business and serve as a point of contact for general benefit and people-related questions.
- Own tools, systems, and infrastructure that support the People function, such as Pave and BambooHR.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency and process improvements in benefits, immigration, policies, compliance, and HR data management.
- Provide analytics and insights about the workforce to enhance business operations.

What you bring to the table
- B.S. or B.A. degree and minimum 4 years of relevant, progressive career experience
- Positive and professional business presence
- Strong working knowledge of HR policies and laws
- Deep understanding of the tech startup industry
- Experience with a wide variety of systems and tools (HRIS systems, people management platforms, etc.)

Pay Transparency
For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location. To determine our ranges, we utilize a variety of compensation data benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000. This range is specific to the San Francisco Bay market. We consider several factors when making final compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs that may cause your specific offer to vary from the amount listed above.
Flexible Work Policy
We offer a flexible work schedule at Sendbird. We also value collaboration and relationship building. With those values in mind, we require all employees within an hour's commute range of their local office to gather with their team in the office three days per week as a minimum. Some of our roles require a more frequent in-office schedule. Please work with your manager to understand the office time requirements for your position.
