PRIMARY OBJECTIVE : To provide customer service and department cleaning duties. To perform food preparation, meat stocking and product rotation. To contribute toward ensuring a positive shopping environment for customers and a positive working environment for employees.
NATURE AND SCOPE : Emphasis in this position is to meet daily customer service needs. Primary learning challenge is learning and retail cutting techniques for all meat cuts, proficiency with the saw and merchandising techniques. This position requires ongoing heavy lifting, standing, operation of meat equipment, exposure to cold temperatures and wet surfaces, judgment / decision making, social skills / verbal interaction, listening skills and reading. Position functions and work hours may vary according to business needs. The Meat Manager or person in charge provides assignments and work direction.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
- Assist customers with requests and information
Ensure customer satisfaction
Pull outdated product and properly rotate
Break down equipment according to procedures
Verify product with invoice and log
FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Lifting / carrying up to 100 lbs.
Social skills / verbal interaction
Working in cold conditions
