PRIMARY OBJECTIVE : To package produce product properly for retail display according to Company standards. To contribute toward ensuring a positive shopping environment for customers and a positive working environment for employees.
NATURE AND SCOPE : Primary emphasis in this position is on meeting daily needs in properly packaging Produce product for retail display. This position requires ongoing judgment / decision making, social skills / verbal interaction, listening skills, reading, writing, moderate to heavy lifting, walking, operation of a box cutter / knife and exposure to cold temperatures and wet surfaces. Position functions and work hours may vary according to business needs. The Produce Manager or person in charge provides assignments and work direction.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS :
- Perform Packaging
Ensure correct handling, packaging and wrapping of product
Take special orders
FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Lifting / carrying up to 50 lbs.
Judgment / decision making
Exposure to cold temperatures (35 to 40 degrees)
