Sales Representative Job Description

Our company is looking for a Sales Representative to be responsible for generating leads and meeting sales goals. Duties will include sales presentations and product demonstrations, as well as negotiating contracts with potential clients.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics, and superb interpersonal skills. Previous experience in a sales role is an advantage.

Minimum 40 hours per week.

Start time at 8:00am Monday – Friday.

Sales Representative Responsibilities:

  • Generating leads.
  • Meeting and exceeding sales goals.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly reports.
  • Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients.
  • Obtaining deposits and balance of payment from clients in a timely manner (Within 2 Business Days)
  • Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
  • Taking, Entering, and Verifying Sales Orders.
  • Maintaining client records.
  • Answering client questions about credit terms, products, prices and availability.
  • Establish, develop and maintain professional business relationships with current and prospective customers.
  • Travel to regions every month to help generate new and continuous business for the Seneca brands.
  • Make on-site visits to present product information and pricing
  • Deliver product when necessary.
  • Respond to incoming sales inquiries in a timely fashion.
  • Make follow-up visits and phone calls to build customer relationships and ensure product satisfaction.
  • Take initiative to develop and maintain prospective customers through communication, signage, sales tips etc.
  • Present clear, understandable, and unique sales proposals based on the request and needs of store owners.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer requests, problems and complaints.
  • Analyze the designated territory and its potential to determine the value of existing and prospective customers.
  • Manage and update customer lists.
  • Identify advantages of the Seneca brands products and services in comparison to our competitors.
  • Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Be aware and Comprehend and adhere to all FDA guidelines pertaining to Tobacco products.
  • Count satellite warehouse at the end of the month.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Sales Representative Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in sales.
  • Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
  • A commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
  • Dress Code Business Casual (No Sweatpants, Gym Shorts, Hoodies, Cargo Shorts, etc.)
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have self-confidence, excellent presentation skills, and strong motivation for sales.
  • Acknowledge and speak with others using clear, professional language and appropriate in-person and telephone etiquette according to company standards.
  • Capable of working alone and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to distinguish and maintain confidential information.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Previous sales and customer service experience preferred.
  • Completion of background investigation and drug screening.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Must be able to work all shifts including nights, weekends and holidays as necessary.
  • Must be able to travel for short to long periods of time, including overnight as necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
