We are looking for a Bilingual Support Counselor in Wraparound services, who will work on a multi-disciplinary team and provide behaviorally focused mental health services to children and families.
As a Bilingual Support Counselor , you will mentor, train and provide consultation to a team of Wraparound staff on specific behavioral interventions to support clients and families.
ABOUT PROGRAM
Seneca offers "Wraparound" services to children and youth susceptible of placement, and to their families. The Wraparound programs are strengths-based, family-driven, flexible, and creative, with the goal of helping the family develop the skills and supports to prevent or reduce the possibility of out-of-home placement of their child.
A family-based team addresses the needs of the entire family, not just the child of focus. This family-based team consists of family members, Seneca's Therapists, Support Counselors, Family Partners, Facilitators and other community members who have an important role in the family

Responsibilities
- Conductswork with client, families, and county partners that aligns with the National Wraparound Model.
- Providesdirect behavioral support services toyouth open with Wraparound,depending onthe need of the teams.
- Providesculturally-specificservices for clients and families, using conceptual frameworks that take into account a client and family’s cultural location (race, ethnicity, nationality, class, education, gender, sexual orientation,
- Serves as a consultant for other direct care staff by providing training and / or additional case consultation that aligns with Seneca’s unconditional care model and clinical philosophies (.
three streams, internal working model, functional behavioral analysis .
- Completedocumentation of mental health notes and other clinical documentsin a timely manner.
- Participates in an on-call crisis support line rotation.
- Participate in weekly individual andgroup supervision as required.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
- Education / experience requirements : Bachelor’s degree ORAssociate’s degree or equivalent 1 year of applicable experience ORHigh School Diploma / GED 2 years of applicable experienceApplicable experience includes any paid or unpaid experience working with youth or families, or working in the social services field
- Bilingual in Spanish / English required
- Own vehicle, valid California Driver’s License and insurance
- Fulfillment of TB test, fingerprinting and any other mandatory state / federal clearance
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster required
PREFERRED
- Experience providing strong behavioral interventions with youth(preferably within a community based setting)
- Experience working with or living in community with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

- Strong organizational skills as demonstrated by the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
- Understands own social and cultural location, the systems of oppression within which we operate, and the impact those have on the clients and communities we serve
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Tuesday-Saturday, 9am-5 : 30pmOr Sunday-Thursday, 9am, 5 : 30pm

- Starting at $25.46 - $27.96 per hour
- Actual salary is dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role
