The Katie A. Services Social Worker provides therapeutic services, including counseling, case management, permanency planning, and crisis intervention, to youth and young adults ages 6-21 years of age. Clinicians are members of a treatment team, and provide services at the program site and in the community, including schools, and family homes. Santa Clara County KAS Services aim to address mental health symptoms that are impacting the youth’s ability to successfully meet their life goals. In addition to symptom management and reduction, clinicians collaborate with youth and their family treatment teams to identify and work toward overall wellness goals, such as increasing independent skills, increasing adaptive coping skills, expanding their support network, accessing community resources, and pursuing employment and educational opportunities.

Seneca Family of Agencies serves Santa Clara County children / youth by offering a focus on managing mental and behavioral health needs and increasing placement stabilization. The Katie A. Services program provides culturally-competent, team-driven, and strength-based unconditional care for children and families who struggle with profound needs and difficulties. Katie A. Services services dually focus on the child and family team meeting process that focuses on building a strong team to collaboratively address the needs of the child and family. Services are provided at the program site and in the community, including schools, and family homes.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promptly meet with clients and caregivers on a regular basis to further treatment goals utilizing culturally informed and best practice modalities
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with community members and providers
- Complete assessment and evaluation process of clients in order to develop and implement the care plan
- Provide assistance in case planning and consultation to team members on clinical issues, as well as casework issues, as appropriate
- Chart mental health notes, care plans, outcome measures, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain availability for crisis intervention services, such as on-call rotation, if applicable
- Participate in individual and/or group supervision
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client and business operations information
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
- Master’s degree in social work/psychology/counseling
- Registered with California BBS: ASW, AMFT, APCC, or full licensed
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work some evenings and weekend hours as needed
- Be part of a rotating emergency on-call system, scheduled ahead of time
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy
- TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
PREFERRED
- Bilingual Spanish skill set
- Experience working with children in out-of-home care
- Excellent organizational and critical-thinking skills
SCHEDULE
- Full-time; Monday - Friday; 9am - 5pm
- Flexible schedule with ability to work evenings as needed
- Hybrid; provide in-person services & complete documentation remotely
BENEFITS
- Starting at $84,872 - $98,872 per year, commensurate rate with experience
- Additional $4000 salary increase for BBS licensure
- Additional compensation upon passing the bilingual language proficiency exam
