What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospitality Supervisor position at Seneca Gaming and Entertainment?
JOB SUMMARY:
Incumbent will assist in the supervision and scheduling of the Hospitality department and personnel. Assist with coordination and planning of the monthly menu based upon the daily schedule, food needs and number of guests to be served. Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of concessions area and equipment. Abide by State and Federal sanitation regulations, codes and guidelines. Provide feedback to management to improve quality of service, food and operation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assists in preparation of breakfast, lunch and dinner for the guests and staff, provides additional food preparation as
needed.
2. Assists in the scheduling of all Hospitality Associates.
3. Assists in the supervision of staff to ensure guests are rendered prompt and courteous service.
4. Assists in preparation, purchases and records maintenance of retail and grocery lists/receipts based on menus.
5. Assists in the supervision of the cleaning and maintenance of all equipment such as coolers, fryers, beverage
dispensers, etc.
6. Assists in coordinating specials and giveaways in conjunction with advertised promotions.
7. Assists in the coordination of the catering for special facility events, Bingo sessions and the Slot Operations.
8. Stores foods in appropriate storage area and monitors temperature according to regulations.
9. Assists in training of all Hospitality Associates and new hires.
10. Assists in maintaining adequate inventory of foods, retail goods and supplies, including ordering and receiving of goods.
11. Assist in the oversight that proper ordering is executed with vendors, proper receiving procedures are adhered to
and proper monitoring and management systems are in place to reduce spoilage and shrinkage of received food
products.
12. Assist in accurately monitoring and documenting daily attendance records according to policies and procedures.
13. Assist in completing employee evaluations in an efficient and timely manner.
14. Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

Must pass a background clearance in accordance with National Indian Gaming Commission Regulations to be approved for and maintain a valid Seneca Nation Key license.
Education/Experience:
1. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment.
2. High school diploma or equivalent required.
3. Two (2) years’ experience in food preparation and one (1) year supervisory experience.
4. Must possess good math skills and positive personality with ability to work closely with guests.
5. Computer proficiency in MS Word and Excel preferred
