Assistant Golf Professional/Pro Shop Attendant

Job Summary
The Assistant Golf Professional and Pro Shop Attendant play a vital role in ensuring an exceptional experience for all customers visiting our facility. These positions involve providing outstanding customer service, managing sales transactions, and maintaining the shop's inventory. The ideal candidates will be enthusiastic about retail sales and possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and promote products.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in selecting merchandise.
• Operate the cash register efficiently, handling cash transactions and credit card payments.
• Assist with maintaining accurate stock levels by restocking shelves and organizing merchandise displays.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase overall sales.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth operation of the pro shop.
• Monitor player flow to ensure adherence of tee times, while also ensuring pace of play is up to standard.
• Provide information about products, promotions, and services to customers.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the pro shop area at all times.
• Willingness to lend a helping hand in all aspects of the Shop, inside and out.
• Must be willing to work until 9:30p.m.

Experience

• Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is necessary, experience in golf is preferred.
• Familiarity with cash handling and operating a cash register is advantageous.
• Familiarity with technology, such as POS systems and Golf Genius Software is preferred.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and proficient knowledge of golf are key attributes for success in this role.
