Position Overview
The Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing and executing investment decisions across client portfolios, ensuring alignment with the firm’s strategies and investment objectives. This role is highly focused on portfolio research, trading, cash management, and documentation, requiring a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail. The Portfolio Manager reports to the Chief Investment Officer.
Key Responsibilities Research & Investment Analysis
- Conduct research on investment vehicles, market trends, and economic conditions.
- Evaluate securities, fund managers, and asset classes to support portfolio recommendations.
- Evaluate global trade, currency, and monetary policies to inform investment decisions and optimize client outcomes.
- Monitor domestic and international economic trends, assimilating relevant data to adjust investment strategies
- Assist in refining and improving asset allocation strategies.
- Track and analyze performance metrics to inform investment decisions.
Portfolio Management & Trading
- Execute trades across various asset classes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage portfolio rebalancing, cash creation, and liquidity needs.
- Ensure investment decisions align with client objectives and risk tolerance.
- Monitor portfolios for tax efficiency, asset allocation drift, and compliance with investment policies.
Cash Management & Operations
- Oversee cash flows and manage liquidity for client portfolios.
- Ensure timely cash disbursements and funding for required transactions.
- Monitor and reconcile accounts for accuracy and compliance.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain detailed records of portfolio transactions and investment decisions.
- Prepare investment reports, trade documentation, and performance summaries.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and firm policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and client reporting.
- Communicate investment policies, strategies, and market insights to the Advisory Team and Investment Committee.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in portfolio management, trading, or investment operations.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, trading platforms, and asset allocation.
- Proficiency in portfolio management software and financial analysis tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and reporting.
