About Seneca Lake Resorts: Seneca Lake Resorts, located in Romulus, NY about 20 minutes South of Geneva, boasts a reconstructed marina, a ship store with restrooms, showers, and laundry, thirty-nine rental cabins, two bathhouses, one hundred and fifty seasonal RV sites with full hookups, a fleet of rental pontoon boats, The Vista event space, a partnership with Pat’s Pizzeria, an outdoor movie theatre, a registration building, a dog park, and one of the largest and most well-appointed miniature golf courses in the region. About the role: This position is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing all Seneca Lake Resort marketing initiatives to promote all amenities including but not limited to cabin rentals, seasonal RV sites, marina slips, pontoon boat rentals, Putt & Play, weddings and Vista events. This position reports to the General Manager and supervises the Sales and Event Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for driving Seneca Lake Resorts visibility and market segment growth.
- Create, manage, and distribute creative marketing content and material through ads (digital & traditional), social media channels, e-newsletters, tradeshows, radio, magazines, website, and blogs.
- Create and manage all Seneca Lake Resorts collateral materials including but not limited to, flyers, maps, brochures, passes, billboards, signage, etc.
- Monitor, analyze, and evaluate metrics for all marketing initiatives on a regular basis.
- Facilitate strategic and creative brainstorming and recommend ideas for actionable outcomes.
- Oversee and execute marketing initiatives (including events) within a pre-determined budget and plan.
- Identify and coordinate attendance at appropriate trade shows.
- Oversee and manage donations and gifts in kind.
- Assist General Manager and Ownership with business development needs.
- Supervise, collaborate with and support the Sales and Event Coordinator.
- Assist in the recruitment of event staff and provides recommendation for new hires to General Manager.
- Responsible for training all event employees. Completes performance reviews and addresses any performance issues in a timely manner.
- Oversee and manage event staff scheduling.
- Knowledgeable/proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite, marketing, social media and other marketing and communication tools and software.
- Understand and complete daily/weekly/monthly paperwork and/or utilization reporting in a timely manner.
- Participate in management meetings.
- Communicate any marketing issues/concerns to the General Manager.
- Follow and enforce all company policies and established procedures.
- Assist the General Manager with special projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, business/administration, hospitality management or relevant degree.
- Experience in marketing, communications and digital advertising. Design skills preferred.
- Prior work experience in the hospitality (retail, restaurant, hotel, campground) industry.
- Excellent customer service with strong ability to effectively communicate with employees, guests and any other stakeholders.
- Strong sense of initiative, innovation, analysis, and urgency.
- Demonstrated strategic, creative, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to identify problems/issues and offer suggestions to improve service.
- Ability to work as part of a team to promote and achieve established goals.
- May be required to work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee must be able to stand, sit, walk on uneven surfaces, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers. This position requires light to moderate (frequently up to 25 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs) lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, etc.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 annual salary (commensurate with experience); 40 hours per week- hours may be higher in season (April-October), lesser out of season (November-March).
