About the Organization
The Tiffin-Seneca Economic Partnership and the Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce are in the process of merging to create a dynamic and unified organization dedicated to economic development, business advocacy, and community growth. This new entity will continue the strong legacies of both organizations, working collaboratively to drive economic prosperity in Tiffin and Seneca County. Additionally, the organization will support tourism initiatives through Destination Seneca County and promote downtown revitalization efforts through Downtown Tiffin.
Position Overview
The President & CEO will serve as the strategic leader, visionary, and chief spokesperson of the newly combined organization. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the execution of the organization's mission, supporting staff in the areas of tourism, economic development, community development, and downtown development to ensure alignment and coordination. Additionally, the President & CEO will work closely with the transition committee, consisting of the Chair and Vice Chair of both TSEP and the Chamber, to determine the future organizational structure and ensure a smooth integration of both entities.
Key Responsibilities
· Strategic Leadership & Vision: Provide oversight and direction for a comprehensive strategy to foster economic growth, business retention and expansion, entrepreneurship, workforce development, and regional collaboration.
· Economic & Business Development: Guide and support staff in business attraction efforts, site selector engagement, and local business development to create a thriving economic climate.
· Advocacy & Public Policy: Represent the business community and advocate for pro-business policies at local, state, and national levels.
· Government & Stakeholder Relations: Collaborate with city, county, state, and federal government entities to advance economic initiatives, infrastructure improvements, and workforce development programs.
· Member Engagement & Growth: Support staff in fostering strong relationships with members, ensuring value-driven programming, resources, and networking opportunities. Drive membership growth by reinforcing a strong value proposition.
· Operational & Financial Oversight: Oversee the organization’s budget, funding sources, sponsorships, and day-to-day operations while ensuring long-term financial sustainability.
· Board & Staff Leadership: Provide leadership to the Board of Trustees, key stakeholders, and staff to drive strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and long-term organizational impact.
· High-Level Community Engagement: Serve as a key community liaison, fostering relationships with stakeholders including city and county officials, local businesses, and regional economic partners.
· Staff Development & Office Management: Support and collaborate with team members responsible for tourism, economic development, community development, and downtown development, ensuring a collaborative and effective team approach.
Qualifications & Experience
· Proven leadership experience in economic development, chamber operations, tourism, nonprofit management, or a related field.
· Strong track record of membership growth and retention.
· Strong understanding of economic development strategies, workforce alignment, business advocacy, and downtown revitalization efforts.
· Experience in stakeholder engagement, government relations, fundraising, and building effective partnerships.
· Familiarity with Main Street program principles and downtown development strategies.
· Excellent communication, public speaking, and relationship-building skills.
· Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, strategic planning, and operational efficiency.
· Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
· Residency in Seneca County required upon hire.
