Job Responsibilities
The Production Intern will serve as an integral member of the Production team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:
- Update databases with wellhead and production tree details
- Manufacturer
- PSL Rating
- PSI Rating
- Flange Size
- Assist in coordinating and supervising the pull of capstrings and installation of production tubing
- Field Operations portion
- Take part in field tours and audits for field operations
- D&C, Production, P&A and Construction
- Use empirical data to help develop a foam assist critical velocity model for wells flowing up 5-1/2 casing
- Help create BMP for capstring installs and evaluate timing considerations
- Work on Power BI dashboards to better evaluate LOE at the well level
- Assist in creating and updating databases for Capstring and Pump manufacture details
- Collaborate with operations on procedural assistance with the learning management system
- Partner with technical staff on future gas lift designs for various operating areas
- Create a process for capturing emissions data
- Comply with Seneca’s EHSQ policies, standards and procedures and demonstrate active and regular involvement in EHSQ programs
Job Qualifications
- Current Junior pursuing a degree in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering or Geology
- Knowledge of engineering principles
- Understanding of geologic concepts
- Basic understanding of oil and gas extraction
- Proficient with Excel and Word
- Coding experience in Matlab, Python, PBI is a plus
- Must be a team player
- Good communicator
- Willingness to learn and contribute
- Travel to off site locations is required
