Job Responsibilities
The Reservoir & Corporate Development Engineer will serve as an integral member of the Reservoir & Corporate Development team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:
- Work both independently and collaboratively within the Reservoir and Corporate Development team.
- Participate in various planning evaluations including development of the strategic plan, economic sensitivities, project ranking, appraisal program economics and budget related activities.
- Analyze well performance to quantify sub-surface and operational drivers of performance.
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams to effectively develop numerical and analytical models.
- Prepare analysis to aid in and facilitate commercial business decisions.
- Prepare forecasts for production, expenses, capital, and product pricing.
- Assist in the coordination of operational timing and financial assumptions across Seneca’s departments including drilling, completions, engineering, production, marketing and midstream.
- Prepare presentations and reports to senior Company executives
- Comply with Seneca’s EHSQ policies, standards and procedures and demonstrate active and regular involvement in EHSQ programs
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering or a related discipline.
- 5-10 years of experience working for an oil & gas company with a focus on Reservoir Engineering.
- A strong understanding of the technical, operational, and commercial considerations surrounding the development of natural gas assets.
- A track record of identifying opportunities and implementing strategies to improve program-level returns.
- Experience evaluating assets for acquisitions and technical benchmarking.
- Effective at communicating technical subjects to a broad audience.
- A high degree of intellectual curiosity and extreme attention to detail are key attributes.
- Self-starter with the ability to think strategically and accurately forecast future performance.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong working knowledge of ARIES and Harmony.
The successful candidate must be authorized to work in the United States of America.
