Position Overview
Responsible for overseeing financial operations, including managing payables and receivables, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, analyzing financial data, and collaborating with various departments to support strategic decision-making. This role involves supervising a team, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining financial records, resolving discrepancies, and optimizing cash flow through efficient processes. Strong leadership, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles are essential for success.
Key Responsibilities
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Oversee general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tax-related matters.
- Develop, manage, and refine internal accounting processes in collaboration with departmental managers.
- Supervise the accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Administer proper coding, manage invoices, and document financial processes and systems.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve accounting issues and address cost-related inquiries.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures, including transaction verification and compliance.
- Perform 3-way matching, coding, and invoice entry following necessary approvals.
- Resolve issues related to purchase requests, purchase orders, and invoice processing.
- Validate invoices and process payments while investigating and resolving payment discrepancies.
- Maintain banking relationships, monitor transactions, and ensure adherence to internal controls for cash and bank account management.
- Prepare monthly accruals and manage application of incoming payments and AR reconciliation.
- Generate and analyze AP & AR aging reports.
- Provide training for new and existing employees as needed.
- Evaluate contracts, billing plans, and organize customer agreements and invoices.
- Oversee tax preparation and ensure timely filing.
- Assist with audit requirements and provide necessary documentation.
- Serve as a backup for other team members when needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Interacts with suppliers, customers, upper management, employees, financial institutions, and auditors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency in computerized accounting applications and financial systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
