What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Controller position at Seneca Resources?
This position is responsible for the collection, analyzing, and processing of financial, accounting, auditing, funding, and budgets, activities of assigned administrations and ensures that all rules, codes, and federal and state regulations are followed in performing these functions.
This position evaluates and applies budget policies and procedures: reviews and analyzes new
or proposed legislation to determine fiscal and organizational impact: researches, analyzes, evaluates, and develops findings and makes recommendations involving complex local area dynamics; ensures established standards of continuous quality improvement are met; and provides insight into financial duties of the position.
Knowledge of the principles, concepts, practices, methods and techniques of government accounting.
Skill in oral and written communication necessary to develop presentation material, public speaking, and communication with Federal & State partners.
Ability to interact with a diverse audience on a professional level. Microsoft office proficiency. Proficiency in reading and applying legislation; 1 year in a financial position; potential Contract-to-hire opportunity.
