What are the responsibilities and job description for the Geographic Information System Specialist position at Seneca Resources?
The GIS Specialist will provide development and technical support (1st, 2nd or Tier 3 Level) to the ArcGIS and ArcFM based Enterprise GIS system and applications.
• Develop minor enhancements using Python, Angular JS, ArcGIS Javascript API, ASP .Net (C#).
• Support Landbase applications including new development and troubleshooting requests.
• Deploy ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal and Server) and administer ArcGIS server sites.
• System monitoring and performance tuning of the systems.
• Publish services and administer user roles and privileges.
• Coordinate with other teams such as server support, security, DBA, etc.
Required Skills/Experience:
• 5-10 years of experience of administration, support, and development of ArcGIS applications.
• 5-10 years of experience in administrating and supporting ArcFM applications.
• Development and coding experience using Python, Angular JS, ArcGIS Javascript API, .Net (C#).
• Experience deploying ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal and Server) and administer ArcGIS server sites.
• Experience with System monitoring and performance tuning of systems.
• Experience publishing services and administering user roles and privileges.
• Ability to understand requirements and support team and share best practices/lessons learned.
• Provide status of the tickets to the client SME.
• Trouble shooting and problem resolution to issues reported by end users of the enterprise applications.
Additional Skills:
• Utility Experience (Plus): Leverage utility industry experience to enhance GIS solutions and contribute to industry-specific initiatives.
• Windows servers knowledge and experience.
• FME Experience: Work closely with FME Suite for GIS Landbase activities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Salary : $55 - $65
