What are the responsibilities and job description for the maintenance technician position at Seneca Resources?
- Organization skills to maintain facility maintenance records and reports.
- Ability to use hand and small power tools
- Able to disassemble/reassemble basic fixtures and equipment
- Able to demonstrate basic plumbing and carpentry skills
- Ability to perform basic mechanical repairs to buildings and equipment
- Able to competently operate a forklift, scissor lift, and aerial lift
- Ability to operate a personal computer, cell phone; and/or electronic tablet
- Perform minor troubleshooting of equipment failure and possible remedies to mitigate down time.
- Able to function with dynamic priorities, adapting to changing customer expectations and completing work requests efficiently with high quality standards. This may include taking the initiative to productively manage unexpected downtime, remaining productive while contributing to high quality results.
- May need to support non-customary schedules and weekend work
- We are also responsible for snow removal and there are times in the Winter season when most of the day is spent outdoors in cold/snow conditions.
- Must be willing to work overtime when required and may be required to work holidays and weekends.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
