Position Title: .Net Developer
Location: Hybrid in Opelousas, LA (3 days/week onsite)
Position Status: 6 month contract to hire
Position Description:
Our client is looking for .Net Developer candidates for a hybrid position in Opelousas, LA. This role is primarily backend-focused with some front-end responsibilities, supporting and integrating various clinical software applications within a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with a strong ability to adapt to change, improve processes, and contribute to scaling the company’s technology environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance .NET-based applications, services, and integrations for clinical software systems.
- Work closely with hospital IT teams and clinical staff to integrate and support third-party applications.
- Maintain and update DLLs, scripts, and backend components to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Support and manage 4-5 web servers, ensuring uptime, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with a small but growing IT team to implement best practices in software development, deployment, and process improvement.
- Assist in scaling as the company expands to more hospitals.
- Troubleshoot application issues, debug code, and optimize system performance.
- Participate in change management, documentation, and process improvement initiatives to enhance software delivery efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in .NET development (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core).
- Experience with SQL databases, stored procedures, and optimizing queries.
- Familiarity with API development and integration (RESTful APIs, SOAP, etc.).
- Understanding of Windows Server environments, web server management, and basic networking.
- Experience with DLL updates, scripting, and backend development.
- Ability to work onsite 3 days a week in a hospital environment, collaborating with IT teams and end-users.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to adapt to change, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in healthcare IT, clinical software, or hospital systems.
- Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, or other healthcare interoperability standards.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies (JavaScript, React, Angular) for occasional UI work.
- Experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred
