What are the responsibilities and job description for the P&C Design Engineer position at Seneca Resources?
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create and modify protection and control design documents and drawings for substation projects including: relay functional drawings, logic diagrams, elementary diagrams, wiring diagrams, communications diagrams, relay panel arrangement drawings, and bills of material
- Coordinate with and provide technical assistance to physical substation engineers, protective relaying engineers, communications engineers, transmission line engineers, material coordinators, panel wiring shop, and field technicians in order to fully develop the protection and control design package
- Assist project management teams and conceptual engineering teams for the development of the scope of work and design requirements for substation engineering projects
- Assist less experienced engineers and technicians by answering questions related to design packages and providing technical guidance on protection schemes
- Independently develop system protection design package for complex projects using applicable standards
