2. Special Requirements / Qualification Profile
2.1 Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or related Engineering fields, Economics, Business Administration, or relevant work experience
- 2 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing quality role
2.2 Knowledge:
- Quality management systems (IATF 16949 Standard)
- Measuring room technology, laboratory methods
- Gage R&R; other MAS studies preferred
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to generate and implement full 8D Corrective Action reports
- Statistical Process Control skills – ability to generate reports with raw data from a database
- Ability to generate Control Plans, develop Work Instructions, and review/revise PFMEAs
- Knowledge of PPAP requirements
- IT proficiency (MS Office, SAP)
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- English language proficiency
Preferred:
- ASQ CQE or ASQ CQT certification
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
- Knowledge of plastic injection molding, painting, and assembly processes
- Familiarity with production methods (Toyota Production System, Lean Manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping)
- Experience managing and supervising personnel
- Understanding of VDA standards
- Certified auditor (IATF and/or VDA)
- Hands-on experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Mercedes-Benz Customer Specific Requirements

4. Purpose of the Job

5. Main Tasks
- Ensure implementation and compliance with the quality management system across all relevant departments
- Lead cross-functional teams to generate and implement 8D Corrective Action reports
- Utilize problem-solving tools such as Ishikawa charts and 5-Why Analysis
- Develop tools for data collection and analysis (trend and Pareto charts)
- Update Control Plans, Work Instructions, and other documentation
- Participate in PFMEA reviews
- Conduct statistical studies and data analysis to determine corrective actions
- Perform Gage Studies and analyze results
- Support preparation of PPAP documentation
- Maintain compliance with documentation systems and customer portals
- Implement error elimination measures and process optimization
- Introduce and maintain modern measurement and evaluation systems in QA
- Provide preventive customer support
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance
- Monitor and maintain high supply quality standards
- Ensure compliance with China's Implementation Rules for Compulsory Certification of Motor Vehicle Products (e.g., GB 8410-2006 for interior trim parts)
- Manage labeling procedures for CCC-certified products, ensuring compliance with certification requirements
- Implement CoP Control Plan and ensure changes are communicated to the Chinese Certification Authority before production

6. Special Responsibilities
- Optimize project-related advanced quality planning activities throughout all phases, ensuring smooth transition from development to production
- Represent Quality in project meetings for assigned programs
- Track, address, and close quality-related open items in projects
- Report on quality status throughout different project phases
- Organize and plan PPAP activities to ensure timely submissions
- Manage PRAM items and engineering change implementations in I-Share
- Attend tooling trials when necessary to ensure quality compliance
