What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hydraulic Service Mechanic position at Seneca Tank?
Summary:
Reporting to the Service Manager, the incumbent: installs hydraulic systems on industrial/agricultural truck equipment; diagnoses/repairs problems with such equipment; communicates with customers about repairs and equipment operation; refurbishes chassis purchased for resale; and designs and/or pre-assembles components for petroleum fluid delivery and hydraulic systems.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands:
Position requires ability to pass DOL requirements of a grade 4 heavy work physical capacity profile. This includes exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
Visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet without correction, color vision, depth perception and field of vision
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of power fluid systems / hydraulics or six months' work experience involving diagnosis and repair of hydraulic systems preferred but not required
- Job holder is required to provide their own work tools.
- Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, job candidates are required to pass a pre-employment physical and drug-screen.
