Workforce Development Manager

Our members represent some of the most exciting, cutting-edge work in undersea technology, cybersecurity, and defense technologies.
Job Summary
The Workforce Development Manager will be responsible for managing SENEDIA’s various workforce development programs’ contract/fiscal management, data management, industry outreach, candidate outreach, and project developments. The successful candidate will work closely with partner organizations to ensure that the programs are meeting their goals and objectives. SENEDIA is currently managing two workforce development programs; Real Jobs Rhode Island Defense Partnership Program and the New England Submarine Shipbuilding Partnership.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the programs, including contract/fiscal management, data management, industry outreach, candidate outreach, and program development.
- Ensure that each program’s goals and objectives are being met on time and within budget.
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners to ensure that the programs meet their needs.
- Work to identify internship and direct hire candidates and coordinate the recruitment process.
- Facilitate industry recognized training programs.
- Manage each program’s data and reporting requirements.
- Work with each program’s participants to ensure that they are meeting program requirements and receiving the support they need to be successful.
- Provide regular updates and reports to program partners and stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in program management, contract/fiscal management, data management, or stakeholder outreach.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)
- Knowledge of the defense industry is a plus.
Working Conditions
The Workforce Development Manager will work in an office environment and may be required to travel to partner organizations' locations as needed. The position may require occasional evening work.
