Field Construction Coordinator – Electric Utility Projects
Travel: This position will be based in Boerne, TX but will require 95% overnight travel to project sites.
Position Overview: We are a leading engineering consulting company dedicated to serving the electric utility industry. Our electrical substation, transmission, and distribution departments are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Construction Coordinator to oversee our substation, transmission, and distribution construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating field activities, performing inspections, creating reports, ensuring project completion within timelines, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site observations and inspections, providing detailed progress reports and immediate resolution of issues.
- Manage the availability of resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, to maintain project momentum.
- Enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety-first.
- Administer project schedules, resources, and budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and financial accuracy.
- Facilitate communication between project teams, contractors, and clients, ensuring transparency and collaboration.
- Collect and analyze data, taking measurements, and capturing representative photographs as per inspection protocols.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma;
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in powerline or high-voltage substation construction or inspection;
- Possess strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills and able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing;
- Possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

- Strong (effective) written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional computer skills, with emphasis on spreadsheet and word processing applications
- Strong skills of leadership, time management, organization, and multi-tasking.
Physical:
- This position requires the ability to listen and hear, good eyesight, sitting, standing, walking, and use of hands and arms.
