Summary Statement

An IT Manager at Senesco Marine must perform a wide range of tasks related to computer hardware, software, and IT infrastructure and project management. This includes ensuring compliance with all safety procedures, company policies, and industry standards such as NIST 800-171 and CMMC. The IT Manager must have a strong work ethic, excellent attendance, and a commitment to completing work in a timely and professional manner.

Education/Experience

  • Must have at least 4 years’ experience in Information Technology (IT) and Information Systems (IS).
  • Certifications such as MCSE, Microsoft Azure Administrator, CISSP, CompTIA A /Net /Security or equivalent are preferred.
  • Familiar with IaaS and PaaS (Azure/AWS).
  • Plan and execute IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect company data.
  • Ensure database management, including SQL Server configuration, optimization, and backups.
  • Maintain and secure On-Prem and Azure Active Directory configurations and user access.
  • Implement robust networking solutions and secure remote access methods (e.g., VPNs).
  • Familiar with NIST 800-171 and CMMC requirements.
  • Must coordinate, implement, maintain, and update all computer systems software and hardware.
  • Must be able to install, test, and debug all new computer software.
  • Must be able to manage inventory of all company owned computer and network hardware and peripherals.
  • Must be capable of diagnosing, and correcting malfunctions to user equipment and server systems.
  • Must be able to resolve user issues and problems relating to hardware, software, cabling, and telephone systems.
  • Must maintain network operating systems; perform system backups, and other operational tasks as needed.
  • Must participate in Disaster Recovery planning and the research of future technology possibilities.
  • Must be able to maintain security of the network and computer systems.
  • Willingness to handle any special projects, as directed by the President, Chief Financial Officer, or Controller.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT services and products.
  • Must be a self-starter able to perform their job duties with little or no supervision.
  • Must be able to identify and report all problems and discrepancies to their supervisor and request assistance if necessary.
  • Must be able to receive instructions and perform job duties in budgeted time frames.
  • Must have a willingness to learn new techniques.
  • Must be able to meet the work schedule.
  • Must be able to maintain a clean work environment.
  • Must complete any other task or assignment as directed by a supervisor.

Work Demands

  • The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to respirator, hardhat, face shield, safety goggles, safety shoes (steel toe), safety harness, gloves or other protective clothing as determined by a Senesco Marine Job Hazard Analysis.
  • The employee must report all accidents or injuries to their supervisor and the Environmental Safety and Health Department.
  • The employee must report to their supervisor any and all damages to equipment, or broken and misused tools.
  • The employee needs to work at a pace consistent with meeting company deadlines.
