SCHAS is actively seeking dedicated and dependable individuals to join our team as apart-time Transporter in Loudon, McMinn and Monroe Counties. In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that seniors and individuals with disabilities receive safe, reliable transportation to and from their medical and personal appointments. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, courteous, and punctual transportation to clients, ensuring they reach their destinations comfortably.
• Adhere to SCHAS policies and procedures related to client transportation, safety, and care.
• Communicate promptly with the office regarding schedule changes or if unable to work, in alignment with agency guidelines.
• Accept and fulfill transportation assignments with reliability, professionalism, and attention to client needs.

What We’re Looking For:

• Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.
• Communication Skills: Able to understand and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, using written, verbal, and visual methods.
• Interpersonal Skills: Enjoys working with seniors and individuals with disabilities, able to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and coworkers.
• Legal Requirements: A valid Tennessee driver’s license, a reliable phone, and proof of personal auto insurance with minimum liability coverage limits of $100,000/$300,000.
• Screening Requirements: Ability to pass a criminal background check, and drug screening.
• References: Personal and employer references required for verification.
• Cultural Awareness: Open-minded and respectful of people from diverse cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds.
• Willingness to Learn: Ready to meet agency education requirements and participate in ongoing training as needed.
