Overview
The Data Entry Specialist should be self-motivated, capable of multitasking, and possess excellent time management and organizational skills. They must be reliable and dedicated to consistently meeting deadlines. Furthermore, the Data Entry Specialist must be detail-oriented to ensure client information is accurate and all entered data is correct.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain hard-copy information, including Meals on Wheels route sheets, congregate meal sign-in sheets, transportation tickets, and printed attendance records from My Senior Center software.
- File all hard-copy information promptly to maintain an accurate, up-to-date, high-quality filing system.
- Enter all units daily based on the information provided for activities and services.
- Perform regular data audits to ensure data integrity.
- Address data inconsistencies by collaborating with administrative staff to identify and resolve missing data.
- Report all significant data errors to management.
- Adhere to best practices in data management while upholding a high standard of accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare documents for audits timely and accurately.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- At least one year of experience as a data entry specialist is preferred.
- Familiarity with office software, including word processing and spreadsheet applications, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook are essential.
- Exceptional organizational skills,
- Basic math skills to perform necessary calculations accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Possess excellent research skills for effective data collection and verification.
- Keen eye for detail, and the ability to accurately and efficiently spot errors.
- Good communication skills and collaboration with team members are essential.
- Proficiency in typing, computer operation, and data entry is required.
- Promptly meet all deadlines.
- Ability to accurately file and manage documents in an organized manner is essential.
