Kitchen Aide:
$16-18/hr
Senior Haven is seeking a full time Kitchen Aide to join our team! In this position, you will assist the culinary team with a variety of tasks. Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills are a must.
Must be available to work Wednesday-Sunday, 1pm-8pm.
Responsibilities:
- Dishwashing; must wash and clean tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment.
- Sanitize work areas and equipment, take out trash.
- Comply with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Provide a clean and safe kitchen area for our staff.
- Assist in any other dishwashing/kitchen aide work as needed to support the team.
- Keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- This position demands good physical and mental health.
- The kitchen aide will be required to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, pull, and work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
- Must be able to move continuously during work hours and lift and/or carry 50 to 75 pounds.
- The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, and work overtime as needed.
- The ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior work experience in a restaurant kitchen as a dishwasher or kitchen aide.
- Exemplify and be an influential team player.
- Possess good time management and organizational skills.
- Remain flexible and adaptable.
