Job Summary:
Senior Helpers - Charleston is seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Professional to join our team in James Island, South Carolina. This individual will provide support and assistance to seniors in their homes, helping them lead comfortable and fulfilling lives. As a Senior Care Professional, you will play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for seniors and their families. This is a part-time, hourly position in the healthcare/medical field within the franchise industry.
Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation for this position ranges from $15 to $17 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is paid on a biweekly basis. Responsibilities:
- Provide in-home care and support to seniors, including but not limited to: meal preparation, medication reminders, transportation, and personal care assistance.
- Assist seniors with daily activities such as dressing, grooming, and bathing.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for seniors.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with seniors and their families.
- Monitor and report any changes in a senior's condition to the appropriate parties.
- Document all care provided and maintain accurate records.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Continuously improve knowledge and skills through ongoing training and education.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in caregiving for seniors.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic towards seniors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
