Position Summary:
The Caregiver Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care by overseeing the performance, training, and support of caregivers. This position is responsible for supervising field staff, conducting caregiver assessments and training, monitoring client satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with all care standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Caregiver Oversight & Supervision

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned caregivers, offering support, guidance, and conflict resolution.

Conduct field supervisory visits to evaluate caregiver performance and ensure proper execution of care plans.

Monitor caregiver documentation for accuracy and compliance with agency and regulatory standards.

Provide performance feedback, deliver disciplinary actions when necessary, and participate in annual reviews.
Training & Onboarding

Support the recruitment team with onboarding new caregivers, including orientations and skills assessments.

Deliver ongoing training and in-services to ensure staff meet competency and safety standards.

Maintain accurate records of certifications, licenses, and training renewals.
Client Care & Quality Assurance

Conduct home visits as needed to ensure caregiver adherence to care plans and assess changes in client conditions.

Respond promptly to client or family concerns involving caregiver performance.

Collaborate with care managers to update care plans based on caregiver input and client needs.
Scheduling & Operations Support

Assist with last-minute schedule coverage when needed, including filling shifts directly in emergencies.

Maintain accurate caregiver availability and support scheduling staff with assignments.

Participate in the on-call rotation as needed.
Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED
-
2 years of experience as a caregiver, home health aide, or CNA

1 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

Ability to travel to client homes for supervisory visits

Proficiency with mobile devices and scheduling software
Preferred Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, social services, or related field

Experience with ClearCare/WellSky or similar home care scheduling systems

CPR and First Aid certification

Bilingual (Spanish, Polish)

Familiarity with IDPH standards and compliance requirements
Working Conditions:

Field and office-based role with regular travel to client homes
