Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Senior Helpers. As an integral member of our healthcare team, the Part-time RN will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing care to our residents, including administering wound care, assisting with medication management, monitoring vital signs, and promoting overall wellness within independent living communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer wound care treatments as prescribed by physicians or healthcare providers.
- Assist residents with medication management, including mediset assistance and medication reminders.
- Perform routine health assessments and monitor vital signs of residents on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide health education and support to residents and their families regarding wellness, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all residents.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of practice.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Conduct health screenings and assessments for new residents upon admission.
- Coordinate with external healthcare providers and specialists as needed for resident care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident care plans and address any concerns or changes in condition.
- Foster a supportive and nurturing environment for residents, promoting independence and dignity.
- Assist in the development and implementation of wellness programs and activities for residents.
- Provide support and guidance to resident caregivers as needed.

Qualifications:
- Valid RN license in the state of Arizona
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a geriatric or long-term care setting.
- Proficiency in wound care management and medication administration.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining resident confidentiality.
- CPR certification (current).
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred.
