Caregivers Needed!

Senior Helpers Ann Arbor is currently recruiting professional, caring, and reliable caregivers to work with our senior clients that need a helping hand with daily ADLs, errands, transportation to doctor’s appointments, and companionship. Primary Responsibilities
- Companionship and conversation
- Personal Care (assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, bathroom needs, feeding)
- Light Housekeeping/Household Management (incl. laundry and linen changing)
- Apparel selection (i.e. laying out clothes)
- Meal planning and preparation
- Medication reminders
- Mobility support (standby assist, transfer, hoyer lift)
- Transportation using own or client’s vehicle
- Helping family members learn safe care techniques
- Tolerance to small pets (i.e. dogs and/or cats)
Qualifications
- Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect
- Must be at least 18 years old
Must have at least 1 yr experience in Caregiving (REQUIRED) - Ability to read, write, interpret the Plan of Care provided by Senior Helpers as well as document daily care notes
- Have daily access to email, internet and mobile phone
- Valid Driver's license with no serious driving violations, active auto insurance and a vehicle is REQUIRED
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations
- Pass a criminal background check and Secretary of State Driver's record check prior to employment with Senior Helpers
- Prior experience with dementia patients and senior care, a plus, but not required
- Must be able to be reached via phone or email for shift schedules, client updates and/or emergencies and have wifi access
