What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend Caregiver position at Senior Helpers?
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with Alzheimer's and Dementia.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide Medicine reminders according to prescribed instructions
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Implement behavior support plans and strategies
- Assist with therapeutic activities and exercises
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals in care
Requirements:
- Must have at least two years' experience
- Ability to transfer and perform physical tasks as required
- Knowledge of systems for lifting and transferring individuals safely
- Experience in meal preparation and following dietary restrictions
- Familiarity with medicine reminders
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of caregivers, nurses, and therapists
- CPR required
