Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by delivering personalized care in their home or community settings. Your responsibilities will include assisting with personal care, medication administration, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
Duties
- Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
- Observe and report any changes in clients’ physical or mental health to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including the safe lifting of clients when necessary.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, including specialized care for those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy.
Experience
- Previous experience in patient care or home community care is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and CPR certification is advantageous.
- Experience working with individuals with dementia or other cognitive challenges is a plus.
- Strong observational skills to recognize changes in client conditions and the ability to respond appropriately.
- A compassionate demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills are essential for building trusting relationships with clients and their families.
