What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staffer/Scheduler for nursing department - home care position at Senior Home Health Care?
We are hiring for a newly created role in our nursing office. This is a FT benefit eligible role in our Bloomington office. M-f, no weekends or evenings.
The Home Care Scheduler is responsible to assign and oversee schedules for our RN field staff and additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- H.S. Diploma or GED.
- Prior home care scheduling experience preferred
- Computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, MS Excel and Scheduling program.
- Basic medical terminology.
- Interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to carry out directions, read and write.
- Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understands and adheres to established Senior Home Health Care policies and procedures.
- Responsible for assigning new patients to RN’s based on territory and RN schedule availability
- Enforces expectation of staff to submit projected weekly points/visits each week
- Track missed visits by RN and reason for.
- Assist RN’s as needed finding coverage for patients during time off as needed
- Enters scheduling data, creates schedules.
- Contacts care providers and clients regarding day-to-day changes.
- Discerns client services required as outlined in agreements, urgent requests and care plans.
- Enters staff and client information into database.
- Helps maintains staff and client database (e.g. Devero, dates and reminders of TB, client admission, client hospital admission and discharge).
- Helps maintains staff and client statistics, and reports.
- Approves field employee timecards and time off requests.
- Performs general office duties including but not limited to word processing, photocopies, files, shreds, sort/distributes mail, provides reception and telephone services as needed.
LIFTING REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to perform the following tasks if necessary:
· Ability to participate in physical activity.
· Ability to work for extended period of time while sitting, standing and/or being involved
in physical activity.
· Moderate lifting.
· Ability to do moderate bending, lifting and standing on a regular basis.
