Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated CNA/PSS/DSP (Certified Nursing Assistant/Personal Support Specialist/Direct Support Professional) to join our healthcare team on a per diem basis in York, United States. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Provide basic patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized patient environment
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to appropriate medical staff
- Adhere to all safety protocols and HIPAA regulations
- Participate in patient care planning and documentation as required
- Respond promptly to patient calls and requests for assistance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current CNA certification in good standing
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong knowledge of basic patient care skills and medical terminology
- Proficiency in using common medical equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina to perform duties that may involve lifting, transferring, and positioning patients
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Previous experience in healthcare or caregiving preferred
- Understanding of patient rights and HIPAA regulations
- Knowledge of safety protocols in healthcare settings
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
