Job Summary
This part-time position provides personal care and companionship to seniors in their homes. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation. A valid driver's license and smartphone are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living): bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, feeding, and mobility assistance
- Prepare meals and cook light housekeeping duties, including laundry, washing dishes, and cleaning the kitchen
- Provide companionship and engage in daily activities with clients
- Assist with pet care, including grooming, feeding, walking, and bathing
- Represent the company positively and create a respectful environment for clients and employees
Requirements
- High school graduation or GED
- Two years' experience in a similar position desired but not required
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
- Current listing on state aide registry (if applicable)
- Updated Android or iPhone smartphone device
Working Conditions
The position involves working in clients' homes, which may expose you to malodorous, infectious, body fluids, and some minimal exposure to noxious smells from cleaning/disinfectant agents. You must be able to drive on company business and have a satisfactory driving record.
