Summary
Provides hands on completion of all repair and maintenance activities.
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing
physical structures of buildings and grounds.
Directs housekeeping program to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of
community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Repair & Maintenance
- Maintains property within the assigned area of responsibility including : building(s),
grounds, fence(s), parking area(s), furniture, appliances, heating and air conditioning, etc.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees in the Repair & Maintenance Department as well as the
Housekeeping & Laundry Department.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and
applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning,
addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

Education and / or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to two years related

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Reasoning Ability

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
HVAC preferred.
CPR / First Aid certified a plus.
State required certifications, training and continuing education.
Valid driver's license.

Sprinkler System.
Knowledge of plumbing, painting, construction, carpentry, grounds maintenance.
Knowledge of and compliance with OSHA regulations.

Must possess excellent people skills and sincere appreciation of elderly persons and their
