SERVER
STATUS: Non-Exempt, hourly, part-time, less than 30 hours
REPORTS TO: Dining Service Manager & Director of Dining Services
General Summary
The Server is responsible for table service in the community dining rooms ( Bistro, Pub & other dining venues when needed).
Primary Job Duties
Responds quickly and positively to direction from supervisor.
Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
Experience serving tables in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine dining preferred; will train.
Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understands requests.
Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires courtesy, tact and graciousness.
Wears appropriate black non-slip footwear.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Works indoors; must be able to stand/walk for 100% of the work day; must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. independently; Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and balance frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to see, hear, and speak.
Hourly Rate: $16.00/hr

General Summary
The Server is responsible for table service in the community dining rooms ( Bistro, Pub & other dining venues when needed).
Primary Job Duties
- Assists in maintaining a high level of customer service for our residents and their guests.
- Sets tables and maintains workstations in proper order.
- Takes orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously.
- Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service.
- Answers pertinent questions about menu items.
- Keep work areas clean and orderly.
- Maintain neat and clean appearance and practice good personal hygiene
- Complete opening and/or closing side work in a timely manner.
- Can be relied upon to be at work on time.
- Follows established time clock procedures as per department guidelines. Does not incur unauthorized overtime.
Responds quickly and positively to direction from supervisor.
- Can be relied upon to be at work on time and to complete duties in a thorough and timely manner.
- Assists with distribution of clean dishes if needed.
- Maintains safe and sanitary conditions in work areas.
- Maintains acceptable department dress code.
