Overview
Senior Living Solutions is a senior living community management organization. We provide consultation to senior living communities across the state of Iowa and Nebraska. An important part of our consultation is providing our communities with qualified Chefs to plan and facilitate fun cooking demonstrations and events for tenants and staff. We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dietary consultant team part time. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and fine dining, with a creative flair for food presentation. This position would only work 2-3 days per month, traveling to our communities in Western Iowa and Eastern Nebraska. All travel expenses are reimbursed.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with the directors at the buildings to plan unique events each month at each community.
• Develop and design innovative food demonstrations that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
• Provide exemplary customer service to tenants and staff while in the facility.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their skills and efficiency.
• Collaborate with the lead dietary consultant to ensure all communities' needs are met.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times.
• Help facility staff provide an unforgettable dining experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the food industry.
• Experience in fine dining establishments is preferred.
• Excellent menu planning skills with the ability to create visually appealing dishes.
• Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
