Job Summary:
The Landings of Prescott Valley is seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Caregivers to join our team. As a Certified Caregiver, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents in both Assisted Living and Memory Care units. Your role is critical in ensuring our residents receive the assistance they need with daily activities while promoting their independence and dignity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
- Administer medications as prescribed and document medication administration accurately.
- Monitor residents’ health status and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Assist with meal preparation, serving, and feeding residents as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and home-like environment for residents.
- Follow individualized care plans for each resident.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in training and continuing education to stay current with best practices in caregiving.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and infection control policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Caregiver certification in the state of Arizona.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Previous experience in a caregiving role, preferably in an assisted living or memory care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including lifting and transferring residents.
