What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lawncare Technician position at Senior Living?
Job Summary:
Responsible for lawn maintenance including mowing, aerating, weeding, fertilizing, and other duties to keep the outside of the facility maintained and presentable.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Mow, weed-eat, edge, blow and aerate lawns.
- Trim shrubbery and trees.
- Maintain flower beds.
- Gather leaves, hedge trimmings, and debris for removal.
- Remove weeds.
- Apply fertilizers.
- Assist with pest control.
- Make recommendations for lawn maintenance.
- Driving and backing a truck with trailer
- Maintaining equipment such as changing oil, filters, blades etc.
- Winterizing yard sprinkler systems.
Education/Licensure/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED certificate
- Pesticide certification a plus
- Experience in fertilization, weed, pest, and insect control is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Physical Requirements (Standard):
- Must maintain regular and reliable attendance at a level acceptable to the company, including the ability to work overtime, evening, or weekends as necessary as seasonal demands may dictate.
- Able to lift/carry 50 lbs on a regular and consistent basis
- Exposed to exterior elements (i.e., pollen, cold, heat, etc.)
- Requires extended periods of activity; walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting
- The job requires travel.
