What is the Position?
An aerospace functional test technician is responsible for the charging and testing of hydraulic accumulators to be used in different aerospace applications for a variety of customers.
What are the key responsibilities?
Under limited supervision, backfill, charge and test product as required by prints, engineering documents and other written procedures.
Essential Elements:
- Achieve and maintain appropriate Operator Authorization(s) as required.
- Under limited supervision, work safely with high pressures less 10,000 PSI.
- Capability to work in an AS9100D and 9001:2015 certified company.
Proficiency in the following:
- Work from engineering documentation including drawings and test procedures to charge and test hydraulic accumulators.
- Use a wide variety of test and inspection instruments/equipment including pressure gauges, hand tools, optical comparators, multimeters, and scales.
- Demonstrate the ability to choose appropriate equipment to meet product tolerances.
- Complete test reports and certify test results as applicable.
- Work with engineering personal to determine charge pressures and test new products as required.
- Assist in the determination of root cause analysis to support continuous improvement of our processes and product.
What Education and Qualifications are needed for the job?
- 1- 3 years equivalent experience
- Basic computer knowledge to perform labor transactions, and other required functions
- HS Diploma or equivalent
