What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Care Assistant position at Senior Monongalians?
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent with a minimum of one year of experience in an office setting.
· Must be outgoing, friendly, and enjoy working with older adults from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
· Professional demeanor in appearance, interpersonal relations, work ethic, and attitude.
· Possess clear, concise, effective written and oral communication skills.
· Ability to accurately follow instructions and work as part of a team.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding clients and agency matters.
· Ability to multi-task.
CLERICAL SKILLS:
· Ability to perform general clerical duties, operate office machines, work under pressure and accurately handle detailed work.
· Knowledge and ability to use computer
· Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
TASKS:
· Assist with the day-to-day scheduling and supervision of the In-Home Care Aide Program.
· Assist with monthly billing.
· Ensure that Aides are in compliance with training, background checks, automobile insurance, and other relevant requirements.
· Retrieve daily messages from the Automated Time System.
· Collaborate closely with the Community Care Office Manager and RN nurse(s) to develop a well-managed program that benefits both the aides and the clients they serve.
· Assist Nurse(s) and Office Manager with training as needed.
· Other duties as assigned.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to lift or move up to 35 pounds
· Must use all provided protective equipment to ensure the safe completion of tasks.
· May be required from time to time to work evenings or weekends to meet the agency's needs. Some travel is required.
· Ability to work independently and maintain satisfactory progress in multiple assignments as assigned.
· Must be willing to carry out the vision and goals of Senior Monongalians, Inc.
SUPERVISION:
Direct supervision is from the Community Care Office Manager. All positions in Community Care are supervised by the Finance Director and Executive Director.
CLASSIFICATION:
Part Time, working 20-24 hours per week with occasional addition of hours up to 39 hours per week to meet program deadlines and cover for vacations possible
