Transportation Support Staff - Van

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

· Valid Driver’s license and good driving record.

· Knowledge of vehicle operation and maintenance.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

· Professional demeanor in appearance, interpersonal relations, work ethic, and attitude.

· Ability to effectively express thoughts, ideas, and concepts to visitors and co-workers.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding issues involving clients or the agency.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Maintain vehicles in safe operating condition.

· Report any vehicle maintenance issues immediately to the Transportation Supervisor or Executive Director.

· Pick up and deliver clients to/from the Center. We offer door-to-door service.

· Willing to serve as a backup driver for Home Delivered Meals.

o Use proper controls to maintain the appropriate temperatures for hot and cold foods.

o Use adequate sanitary practices in handling the food in transit.

· Deliver monies collected daily to the designated personnel.

· Responsible for daily errands, including bank deposits, mail pickup, and Kroger donation pickups, in the absence of the scheduled staff member.

· Other duties as assigned.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds

· Obtain all training as required by funding sources.

· Must use all provided protective equipment to ensure the safe completion of tasks.

· May be required from time to time to work evenings or weekends to meet the agency's needs.

· Must be willing to carry out the vision and goals of Senior Monongalians, Inc.

SUPERVISION:

The Transportation Supervisor supervises the Transportation Support Staff. The Executive Director supervises all departments.

Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 7:30 AM - approximately 2:30. (when all seniors that rode transportation are delivered)
