Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for cost analysis, inventory management, and strategic forecasting? We're looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to provide critical financial insights that influence key business decisions across all levels of the organization.
What You'll Do :
- Lead financial reporting for cost, inventory, and sales analysis , ensuring data-driven decision-making.
- Participate in the monthly close process , preparing journal entries and closing associated Oracle Modules related to Revenue, Cost of Sales and Inventory
- Prepare all post-closing inventory analysis and supporting schedules including the monthly reconciliation of perpetual inventory records to the general ledger.
- Conduct detailed cost and margin analysis to drive margin improvement across the business
- Collaborate with Planning, Supply Chain, and Operations managers to optimize inventory performance.
- Prepare the key manufacturing metrics monthly highlighting key trends.
- Coordinate and lead all customer, DCAA and DCMA proposal audits.
- Develop and analyze sales forecasts , integrating actuals, backlog, and projections.
- Prepare cost proposals in compliance with U.S. DFARS regulations and lead external audits.
- Oversee cycle counts, physical inventory processes, and variance analysis, identifying key trends.
- Provide critical ad-hoc financial analysis to support business initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
What You Bring :
Education : BA / BS degree in Accounting or equivalent experience required
Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing accounting, with financial analysis, cost accounting, and / or inventory management responsibilities.
Technical Skills : Highly proficient in Excel and financial modeling. Oracle experience strongly preferred. You have a sharp eye for accuracy and a commitment to ensuring financial data integrity.
Analytical Mindset : Ability to turn complex data into actionable insights
Communication : Comfortable communicating and presenting complex financial information to all levels of the organization, thrives working in a team environment.
