JOB SUMMARY
Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for supplier performance, supporting strategic objectives, and ensuring compliance to Senior's QMS processes. Supplier QE will provide engineering support using statistical analysis, 6 sigma tools, along with other methods to improve the quality of material delivered to both Senior's manufacturing facilities in Bartlett, IL and Saltillo, MX. The supplier quality engineer will additionally provide launch support for new programs, engineering changes, and process improvement efforts to obtain the company's goals. Approval of suppliers, including onsite assessments will be required.
KEY RESULT AREAS
Lead or assist in root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
Participate in internal audit program and perform audits as scheduled.
Maintain LPA Admin system with assigning non-conformances and maintain schedule.
Collect data and perform analysis to improve supplier's current processes.
Prepare appropriate PPAP documentation as required for changes to current supplied components.
Teaming with the material buyers, purchasing agents, and other launch team members, evaluate suppliers based on delivery and quality.
EDUCATION
EXPERIENCE
Automotive manufacturing environment preferred.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Microsoft Office, Minitab, GD&T, statistical analysis, and the ability to read blueprints.
RCA, IATF 16949, QS / TS, ISO 14001, SPC.
Knowledge of industrial or automotive manufacturing
WORKING CONDITIONS
Base Salary $61,500 - $91,500
Salary ranges are determined by role and level, and within the range individual pay is determined by additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
