Senior PsychCare has an immediate opportunity for a Medical Records Specialist (MRS) to support our QA Team in Houston. This individual will utilize their expertise to document data, maintain records and review all information recorded to ensure its accuracy.
ABOUT US:
Senior Psych Care provides fully integrative behavioral health services to the long-term care patient, at their facility. Services include individual, family, and group therapies, along with diagnostic evaluation and collaborative intervention between the therapy team and the psychiatric team.
MEDICAL RECORDS SPECIALIST DUTIES:
• Responsible for the error-free documentation process, data entry, and quality assurance
• Compare data across three databases and review for discrepancies.
• Responsible for notifying corresponding departments of discrepancies and documenting them on the non-conformance database for review.
• Accurately organizes and maintains files for documents, records, specifications, certificates, labels, and other documents/ data.
• Learn the electronic medical record system and train others.
• Other duties as needed and assigned by supervisor or management.
This is a full-time, in-person opportunity. Our work week is from Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
(NO WEEKENDS REQUIRED).
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma; some college desired
• Strong computer skills – proficient with MS Office applications, Outlook, and Internet.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work in a deadline-driven environment.
• Must have excellent communication skills (written & verbal) with strong attention to detail, highly organized and computer literate.
• Must have the ability to prioritize workload, solve problems quickly, and interact with others to achieve efficient, seamless workflow.
• Must have the ability to work well in a fast-paced Healthcare office setting.
