The Senior Resource Association (SRA) is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors in Indian River County. Through our Meals on Wheels and Congregate Nutrition Meal Program, we provide vital nutrition services to promote independence, health, and well-being.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Congregate Program Manager to oversee the operations, compliance, and quality of our congregate meal program. This role is responsible for managing meal sites, coordinating meal distribution, conducting client assessments, and building community partnerships to expand and enhance services.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of congregate meal sites, ensuring compliance with program standards.
- Conduct intake assessments, including the DOEA 701C assessment, to ensure clients receive appropriate services.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and supervise meal distribution at congregate sites.
- Develop and maintain community partnerships to enhance and expand program services.
- Monitor participant satisfaction through evaluations and surveys, implementing improvements as needed.
- Ensure congregate sites adhere to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers to ensure smooth program operations.
- Collaborate with the Director of Senior Programs to identify new site opportunities and improve program efficiency.
- Assist with emergency response efforts as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field.
- Two years of experience in Non-Profit, Social Services, Aging Programs, or a related area.
- Knowledge of senior services, nutrition guidelines, and aging programs.
- Experience with ServTracker and eCIRTS software preferred.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and data management software.
- Ability to communicate effectively with seniors, volunteers, and community partners.
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Level II background check required.
Certifications
- Food Safety Manager Certification (required before assuming food service duties).
- DOEA 701B Comprehensive Assessment Training Certificate (preferred).
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Travel between locations as needed.
